•Diagnosis: encephalocele

•Congenital or iatrogenic

•Clinical team usually knows the diagnosis before the surgery

•Occasionally encephalocele may be mistaken as sinonasal polyp clinically

•Prevention of meningitis is “paramount”, thus a phone call to notify the clinical team about the diagnosis is necessary.
